We are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to support large-scale enterprise storage initiatives focused on file, object, and unstructured data environments. This role will play a key part in the deployment, expansion, and day-to-day support of highly scalable storage platforms supporting rapidly growing data footprints.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within complex enterprise or hyperscale environments and possess strong expertise in scale-out storage architectures, file storage, object storage, and unstructured data platforms. This position requires both hands-on technical skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support large-scale file and object storage environments.
- Assist with the planning, implementation, and expansion of enterprise storage platforms.
- Support highly scalable storage architectures designed for rapidly growing data environments.
- Partner with infrastructure, networking, platform, and operations teams to ensure successful deployments.
- Troubleshoot storage performance, availability, and scalability issues.
- Participate in storage migrations, upgrades, and operational initiatives.
- Help drive project execution while coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and day-to-day operational support for enterprise storage environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of storage engineering experience within enterprise or large-scale environments.
- Strong experience with file storage, object storage, and unstructured data platforms.
- Experience supporting scale-out storage architectures.
- Knowledge of NFS, SMB/CIFS, S3, and related storage protocols.
- Experience supporting multi-petabyte storage environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
- Experience working directly with infrastructure, platform, and engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Pure Storage FlashBlade.
- Experience with VAST Data, WEKA, NetApp, Isilon/PowerScale, or similar scale-out storage platforms.
- Experience supporting AI, HPC, machine learning, or data-intensive workloads.
- Experience leading storage deployments or serving as a technical lead on infrastructure projects.
- Experience with distributed storage architectures and large-scale data environments.
- Prior experience working as a resident engineer, professional services consultant, or embedded customer-facing engineer.
- Experience with Pure Storage solutions is highly desirable.
