CMI General Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. This on-site position is based in Charlotte Hall, MD, and involves coordination of various project elements, ensuring timelines and budgets are met, and maintaining quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising contractors, managing project documentation, inspecting work progress, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. The Project Manager will also communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to plan and execute projects to completion on time and on budget
- Collaborate with Superintendents and the team to deliver successful projects
- Negotiate and prepare subcontracts
- Manage RFI’s, submittals, change orders and billing of invoices
- Coordinate and run OAC meetings
- Develop and Maintain client relationships
- Develop and Maintain relation ships with A/E team to facilitate construction activities
- Motivate and direct team to deliver high quality, successful projects
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred
- 5 years of Project Management Experience
- Experience with ground up, renovation, tenant fit out, medical/hospital, and multifamily projects
- Experience managing projects valued at $1M
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to organize project and information
- MS Project and MS Excel
- Experience with ProCore required
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
- Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to prioritize duties to meet assigned deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
