Job Description:
- Greet all patients and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Take the patient's chief complaint, vital signs, medical history, social history, and medication reconciliation and enter it on EMR before rooming patients.
- Review patient files making sure all information such as lab and radiology results are on file and available before the provider goes into the exam room.
- Clean exam rooms in between patients and stock supplies as needed it, making sure all cleaning logs are properly maintained.
- Review patient's charts for proper documentation at the time of discharge to ensure billing has proper items to bill
- Send out e-prescriptions as directed by the physician and make sure they went through.
- Monthly emergency kit inspection, laboratory inspection, autoclave logbook, vaccine inventory and In-house inventory
- Dispense medications as ordered by Physicians
- Draw blood and run laboratory tests as ordered by the Physician.
- Vaccine administrations as ordered by the provider
- Always comply with health plans regulations, OSHA Regulations, HIPAA regulations
- Follow safety regulations and never lift, hold, or carry patients or heavy items.
- Inform the supervisor about any malfunction of equipment and report if calibration is needed.
- Assist during site and chart inspections from health plans, state agencies, or DHCS
- Assist, and implement correction plans assigned by the health plans after audits.
- Attend staff meetings as required by the Administration.
- Attend any special educational updates and training required to perform your job.

Qualifications
- Medical administrative support experience
- Proficient in EHR systems and medical terminology
- Basic life support certification
- Strong patient care and service skills
- Knowledge of physiology and vital signs monitoring
- Experience in hospital settings, including inpatient and outpatient care
- Familiarity with dermatology and urgent care practices
- Previous exposure to trauma centers and emergency medicine
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
