What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Billing Associate position at CME Corp?
CME’s Billing Department is seeking to add a Billing Associate to our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Warwick, RI. This position is responsible for providing support with both partial and full billing of drop ship orders as well as orders shipping from CME’s 24 service centers. This person will work closely with members of the Customer Service, Project Management, Sales, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams.
Location: Warwick, RI (on-site)
Duration: Approximately 3 months
Reports to: Billing Manager
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely billing while generating and distributing all customer invoices.
- Process credit card payments from customers once their orders have been invoiced.
- Handle billing disputes, adjustments, and discrepancies, including credits and rebills.
- Investigate and resolve any issue related to billing errors or discrepancies.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Respond to billing-related questions from both internal and external sources.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Team and other departments as needed to ensure billing operations run smoothly.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3 years of administrative or billing/accounting experience
- Familiarity with billing systems and payment processing tools.
- Experienced working in a dynamic fast-paced work environment
- Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both internal teams and customers.
- Experience using Microsoft suite of products (advanced experience in Excel and Outlook)
