Clutch is looking for an experienced Business Development Coordinator with a background in B2B and B2C events sales for a client of ours.
Position Summary
The Business Development Coordinator will support the Director of Business Development by identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective clients across the events, experiential, production, and marketing industries. This role is focused on generating qualified leads, warming up outbound opportunities, managing CRM activity, and scheduling meetings for the senior sales team.

Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Research and identify prospective clients, brands, agencies, and event opportunities.
- Prospecting: Build and maintain targeted prospect lists within assigned verticals and territories.
- Outreach: Conduct warm outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, networking, and follow-up communications.
- Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads before handing opportunities to the Director of Business Development.
- Coordination: Schedule introductory meetings and discovery calls for the sales team.
- CRM Management: Track all outreach, meetings, and pipeline activity within the CRM to ensure strong data hygiene.
- Strategy Support: Assist in developing outreach campaigns, communication strategies, and sales materials.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry news, events, conferences, and company activity to identify new sales opportunities.
- Pipeline Movement: Maintain a consistent follow-up cadence with prospects and support proposal coordination.
- Networking: Attend industry networking events and support relationship-building initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in sales support, business development, recruiting, marketing, or client services.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven experience or familiarity with B2B and B2C events sales.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to build relationships.
- Sales Drive: Comfortable with outbound outreach, prospecting activities, and maintaining a high volume of activity.
- Technical Skills: Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Loxo, or similar platforms; familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, creative agency environment.
- Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
Preferred Background
- Prior exposure to agency, experiential, and events.
- Previous experience supporting sales teams or account executives.
