As a Medication Aide Certified MAC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering medications to patients as prescribed by physicians or other healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any changes to healthcare staff, providing essential updates and insights
- Assisting with vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature checks, to help maintain patient health
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Collaborating with healthcare staff to develop and implement care plans, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, driving continuous improvement and excellence
Requirements:
- Current Medication Aide Certification, demonstrating expertise and commitment to patient care
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility, showcasing adaptability and resilience
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing demands and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
