Finance Specialist

CloudFirst Technology Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Specialist to support daily financial operations within our growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting full-cycle accounting activities, and ensuring efficient billing, reporting, and compliance processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience with QuickBooks Online, and the ability to manage financial data with accuracy and attention to detail. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to process improvements, financial reporting, and the continued growth of a technology-focused organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Manage and support billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper revenue tracking.
• Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online and support integration with business systems such as ConnectWise.
• Review and reconcile account balances to ensure financial accuracy and data integrity.
• Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis, and support month-end closing activities.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate and review AP/AR transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company procedures.
• Support sales tax filings, audit preparation, and financial documentation requirements.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies.
• Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles; experience in an MSP, technology, or service-based organization is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online; familiarity with ConnectWise or similar business management platforms is a plus.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing operations, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Knowledge of sales tax requirements and experience supporting audits.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and maintain accurate spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and support internal and external stakeholders.
• CPA certification or equivalent accounting credential is a plus.

Pay: $56,299.30 - $67,801.31 per year
