Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Robotics Actin Development Engineer with strong expertise in robotic control systems, Angular development, and industrial robotics applications within oil & gas environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Actin, Energid robotic control software, ROS Industrial 2.0, and real-time robotic system integration for drilling and pipe-handling operations.
This role involves designing, developing, testing, and optimizing robotic platforms used in autonomous drilling, pipe handling, telemetry, and remote operations while ensuring operational safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 6 to 7 years of strong hands-on experience with Angular development.
· Hands-on experience with Actin robotic control framework.
· Hands-on working knowledge of Energid robotic control software.
· Strong programming skills in Python, C , and ROS.
· Experience with ROS Industrial 2.0, RViz, MoveIt, and related robotics tools.
Strong understanding of:
o Robotic control systems
o Kinematics
o Embedded systems
o Autonomous robotic operations
Experience integrating industrial sensors such as:
o Ultrasonic sensors
o Inductive proximity sensors
o LiDAR
o Pressure sensors
· Knowledge of real-time robotic telemetry and remote-control systems.
· Familiarity with oil & gas drilling and pipe-handling robotics environments.
· Ability to work in field conditions and travel to remote sites when required.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Design and develop robotic systems tailored for oil & gas drilling and pipe-handling applications.
· Integrate sensors and robotic control systems for autonomous drilling, manipulation, and data acquisition.
· Develop and enhance software for real-time robotic control, telemetry, and remote operations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to prototype and test robotic control solutions.
· Conduct field trials and validation testing in simulated and live oil & gas environments.
· Analyze robotic system performance and optimize for safety, efficiency, and operational reliability.
· Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
· Troubleshoot robotic systems and resolve hardware/software integration issues.
· Maintain technical documentation including engineering processes, test results, and system configurations.
· Support deployment and operational readiness of robotic platforms in field environments.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in industrial automation or oil & gas robotics projects.
· Exposure to autonomous systems and machine control platforms.
· Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and embedded hardware systems.
· Experience with robotic simulation and visualization tools.
