Job Description
Warehouse Attendant
As a Warehouse Attendant, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient coordination of inventory, production, warehouse, and shipping activities while ensuring materials and supplies are received, transported, and recorded accurately and on time. This role involves monitoring proper warehouse procedures, processing invoices, maintaining equipment, and upholding high standards of safety, housekeeping, and 5S practices through regular inspections. The position also supports team operations by assisting with scheduling flexibility, communicating effectively during shift changes, and stepping in to help coordinate workflow in the absence of the Warehouse Lead. Additionally, the Warehouse Attendant leads by example, contributes to training and development of team members, ensures accurate documentation and system entries, and maintains a clean, organized, and professional work environment while adhering to all company policies and safety requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support inventory, production, warehouse, and shipping operations by coordinating activities, receiving and transporting materials, and processing transactions accurately and on time.
- Monitor and ensure proper warehouse procedures, safety standards, and 5S practices while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment through regular inspections.
- Assist in supervising workflow during the absence of the Warehouse Lead, helping coordinate staff, shifts, and daily operations under the direction of the Planning and Warehouse Manager.
- Demonstrate leadership by following company policies and procedures, motivating team members, supporting training and development, and maintaining strong communication, including shift handovers.
- Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, overtime, and operational needs while reliably attending work and meeting performance expectations.
- Complete all required documentation and system entries accurately and on time, wear appropriate safety gear, and participate in required training programs.
- Perform all warehouse duties as assigned while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.
Successful candidates will have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid mobile equipment license.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
- Basic reading, writing, and reporting skills; ability to learn warehouse processes.
- Working knowledge of systems such as Oracle, Excel, and Word for material transactions.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated decision-making ability and follow-up skills.
- Commitment to safety, housekeeping, and company policies.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
- Must meet all pre-employment testing requirements.
- PPE: Hearing and eye protection, hair net, face mask (if has facial hair), gloves to match work tasks, ANSI Z41 approved safety shoes.
Work Location: In person
Work Conditions: Requires flexibility for 8–12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and mandatory overtime as needed.
- This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Involves close collaboration with forklift operators, production supervisors, production leads, quality, engineering, maintenance, and administrative personnel. The role requires proactive communication.
