Job Description:
The principal challenge of this position is to coordinate the flow of machinery component items to and from stock, while maintaining a safe, clean, accurate and well-organized work environment. This role is also responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction with internal and external customers. Successful completion of job tasks will ensure the integrity of the inventory records and dollars being spent to support production operations all over the World. This position is responsible for performing receiving, shipping, picking, transaction activity, and forklift/box truck operations.
This position reports to the Customer Service, Distribution & Documentation Project Manager under the Distribution Team Lead and is supported by all Distribution personnel. Within the Machinery Division & Packaging Equipment Division this position will operate in a cross functional effort with Manufacturing, Customer service, Procurement, Distribution, Engineering, and Quality to ensure Customer requirements are met. A warehouse environment including receiving and shipping, processing customer orders all have an impact on the Inventory balances that this position is responsible for auditing. An analytical surrounding using the Business system (Oracle), Excel and Word as tools for decision making plays a large part of this position’s daily work. Delivering documentation and communications with different departments and outside suppliers will influence how well this role is performed.
This position works closely with all Distribution personnel, acting as a backup when needed. All Distribution functions are performed at some time or another by this role. This individual must be a self-starter with the initiative to seek data/information regarding Inventory control. Responsible for administering and controlling a proper inventory level, ensuring a high level of product availability while optimizing inventory investment. It will be the responsibility of the individual to develop this position to meet the key accountabilities as described as well as any additional requests from their manager. Customer satisfaction must not be sacrificed while creating the processes for this position. A very high level of accountability is expected with this position and additional responsibilities are sometimes added to this role (i.e. - releasing CO’s, training, coordinating housekeeping for the team, forklift operation etc.). This person must be able to perform physical activity throughout the day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick/Pack parts for International and Internal Customer Orders along with work orders.
- Perform receiving transactions on incoming parts.
- Maintain part number integrity throughout receipt and storage.
- Works cooperatively with personnel from all departments to assure that their needs are serviced.
- Problem solves daily process issues.
- Process daily transactions for parts to expense accounts. (charge parts out)
- Unload and load trucks for deliveries and shipments using mobile equipment.
- Transfer items between C’ville locations using Company Van
- Invoice parts for our internal customers.
- Schedule shipments, domestic and international
- Prepare invoices and documentation for international shipments of machines and spare parts
- Work with Contracted Supplier for Customs Compliance, maintaining appropriate records and providing required information/documentation.
- Manage CTPAT data and process for distribution area
- Manage inventories of packaging supplies.
- Issue/receive Work Orders for machinery tooling and subassemblies
- Prioritize and ensure parts are picked for work orders.
- Process rejected parts and returned goods.
- Organize skid rack area and keep clean and well-marked.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Cycle count data, charts and graphs for Distribution Warehouse.
- Perform cycle count procedures as detailed.
- Participate in Self-Assessment dealing with inventory stores processes.
- Will have optimal inventory levels to meet their customer’s requirements and maintain maximum uptime and utilization.
- Implementing adjustments or changes in the stockroom processes to resolve and/or eliminate variances and waste.
- Window service.
- Variance resolution.
- Recommendation of process change.
- Provide assistance to Global Customer Service Advocates & Packaging Equipment Sales Group and other stockroom functions.
- Information source for Procurement, Customer Service, and Inspection with regards to System knowledge.

Qualifications:Educational and Other Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of CSI’s safety, environmental, and health practices.
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal astuteness are a must.
- Basic mathematics, writing and reading skills.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the Oracle business system, including, but not limited to inventory, order entry, procurement, forecasting, MRP and queries are essential.
- Will become familiar with import/export documentation and NAFTA requirements
- Inventory control and analysis experience.
- Knowledge of Machinery Division & Packaging Equipment inventory, service center and procurement functions is desirable.
- Knowledge of CSI products, processes, componentry, and their relationship.
- Attention to detail and a self-motivator are required.
- Must be customer focused, profit and results oriented.
- Must be flexible and responsive to your customers’ requirements while working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Must handle multiple tasks efficiently and schedule conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge and experience with Root Cause analysis, problem identification and resolution.
- Must effectively analyze problems, obtain data, identify and implement workable solutions.
- Accountable for suggesting, offering, and implementing changes in the organization to accomplish business objectives.
- PC skills are essential for working with spreadsheets, data, and documentation reports.
- Familiarization with CSI and Inventory Accounting methods is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of and implement OPEX Principles
- Acquire and maintain a valid CSI forklift/mobile equipment license.
- Requires some lifting, walking and physical labor in a warehouse environment with dirt and noise. None of which exceed harmful safety levels.
