A transportation company based on an island off the coast of Massachusetts (Martha's Vineyard) is looking to hire an Assistant Operations Manager on a permanent basis.
The person in this role will oversee that day-to-day business operations for the organization which includes: staffing, onboarding, planning, budgeting, employee disciplinary issues, training, credentialing, scheduling, working with union issues, and more.
This role will require relocation - employee must live on Martha's Vineyard in order to work in this role successfully. The organization does provide housing assistance for employees.
Requirements:
*Able to relocate to Martha's Vineyard for full-time role
*3 years prior experience working in public transit industry
*Clean driving record (and able to secure a Commercial Driver's License)
Preferences:
*Bachelor's Degree
*Prior leadership / supervisory experience
*Experience working in unionized workforce
*Strong knowledge of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
