Job Title: Behavior Specialist - Elementary Kdg/1st
Function: The Behavior Specialist will work directly with the building principal and shall be responsible for providing supervision and management of students throughout the building. The position is responsible for monitoring, redirecting and modifying behavior of students using positive behavior support techniques.
Duties:
- Work with individual students or students in small groups
- Create and implement behavior plans
- Monitor, redirect and modify student behavior based on PBIS
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree - Preference in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or Counseling
- Experience working with individuals who present behavior challenges
- Training/knowledge in positive behavior support systems (PBIS)
- Maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Successful experience working with people with diverse needs
Salary and Benefits:
- $44,000-$48,000 depending on experience and qualifications
- This position will be a part of the non-affiliated contracted group
