Our client is looking to fill the role of Pharmaceutical Fluid Bed Operator. The Fluid Bed Operator works under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and specializes in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations including fluid bed processing, tablet compression, capsule production, and coating applications. This role offers comprehensive cross-training opportunities as proficiency is demonstrated in each manufacturing technique. All work must be conducted in strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols, including proper documentation and cleanroom gowning procedures.

Responsibilities:
Equipment Operations & Maintenance
- Clean and maintain production rooms and manufacturing equipment including mills, mixers, ovens, and granulators
- Operate granulation equipment according to established procedures
- Run coating equipment systems including Coating Pans (Accela Cota, Compulab) and dust collection systems
- Operate encapsulation equipment and associated cleaning procedures
- Manage tablet compression equipment including Kilian S520, Syntheses 500, tablet presses, drum lifters, dedusters, metal detectors, scales, micrometers, hardness testers, printers, and inspection machines
- Prepare dispensing rooms according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Manufacturing Record specifications
- Dispense raw materials from warehouse following SOP guidelines and Production Batch Records
- Verify and document approved raw material and packaging material information per Batch Manufacturing Records
- Process material issuance and maintain accurate records in Production Batch Records, inventory cards, and related documentation
- Verify expiration and retest dates for all materials prior to dispensing
- Complete comprehensive setup and cleaning documentation in logbooks and required paperwork
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout all departments
- Execute equipment cleaning procedures as outlined in SOPs and supervisor directives
- Consistently implement current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) policies across all work activities
- Follow all departmental Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies
- Participate in and successfully complete all mandatory company training programs
- Maintain qualification for respiratory protection equipment (requires medical clearance)
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in GMP-regulated environment, preferably in Oral Solid Dose manufacturing or comparable role
- Fluid Bed processing experience required
- Proficient computer skills for training completion and system interfaces
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Mathematical competency including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals across various units of measure
- Ability to present information effectively to small groups of customers or employees
- Capability to interpret and execute detailed written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- Experience with computer systems for training modules and mechanical/control system interfaces
