Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical diagnostics, plumbing issues, and mechanical components using hand tools and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades in both residential and commercial settings.
- Assist with electrical system diagnostics and repairs related to HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during field service visits.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience combined with service technician background in HVAC or related mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system installation, repair, maintenance, and refrigeration processes.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Mechanical knowledge including boiler operation, appliance repair, welding skills, and property maintenance experience preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, ohmmeters, electrical testing devices, and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a
driver vehicle is advantageous. - EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R are a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.

Pay: $27.39 - $32.98 per hour
