Senior Electronics Lab Technician
Clientmind Recruiting is looking for a motivated Senior Electronics Lab Technician to support electronics test/troubleshooting, limited electromechanical assembly, and engineering development for a client based in Frederick/Greenbelt. The work will primarily take place on-site in Frederick, Maryland. The job may require occasional support in Greenbelt, MD.Responsibilities
- Manage and execute end of production line failure diagnostics, analysis, and troubleshooting at Frederick MD facility.
- Provide measurement and analysis support to electrical and software engineering test and development.
- Maintain accurate records of issues, repairs, and root causes tracked to device serial and return numbers for warranty returns.
- Collect and present data to engineers when required to assist in root cause analysis and resolution.
- Manage calibration of equipment at the Frederick and Greenbelt Maryland locations
- Perform program, calibrate, test procedures for new parts and field upgrades of existing products.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly tasks for low volume prototype deliveries.
- Assist with parts storage, inventory, and audits.
- Support occasional testing efforts in the Greenbelt, MD location.
- Monitor and maintain lab equipment.
- 5-10 years experience as an Electronics technician
- Electronics technician program certificate or equivalent required
- Excellent communication skills, highly organized, and detail oriented
- Strong self-management skills and task prioritization
- Ability to interpreting schematics, drawings, training, and reference manuals to perform tests
- Strong troubleshooting and measurement analysis skills
- Familiar with basic lab equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
- Ability to solder and rework using solder station and hot air
- Ability to operate complex lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF signal recorders, and vector network analyzer (preferred)
- IPC-610 and JSTD-001 qualification preferred
- Ability to work in a standard office and lab environment
- Occasional travel may be required to support client needs or attend industry events
