What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registrar Services Specialist position at Cleveland State University and Careers?
Responds to and processes student record update requests. Responsible for process management of assigned system production jobs. Supports graduation, commencement, degree audit and University Petitions Committee activities. Assists in coordination of scheduling and curricular change processes. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, information technology, liberal arts, social science, or related fields.
- One (1) year of experience with student records processing and maintenance in a higher education setting.
- Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise-level student administration systems, e.g. PeopleSoft
- Experience with document management systems, e.g. OnBase.
- Experience in a registrar’s office or office with similar student records practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of higher education administration and student records practices.
- Ability to develop and remain current with the knowledge and skills required to perform a full range of registrar processing functions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various populations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to utilize a variety of computer software programs.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
