Sales Specialist

Description: The Inside Sales Specialist provides day-to-day support for customers by preparing quotations, processing orders, and answering questions throughout the order process. This position works closely with customers and internal departments to help ensure orders are accurate, processed on time, and delivered according to customer requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reports to the Director of Sales

Salary: $22.00 an hour to start

Responsibilities:

·        Support assigned customer accounts by responding to questions about products, pricing, quotations, order status, and general inquiries.

·        Prepare and process sales quotations, customer orders, and order updates accurately in the ERP system.

·        Work with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Shipping to help ensure customer requirements and delivery dates are met.

·        Review orders for accuracy, including part numbers, pricing, quantities, and lead times.

·        Prepare and distribute order acknowledgements and confirmations.

·        Process order revisions, cancellations, credits, and returns.

·        Resolve customer issues related to orders, pricing, delivery, and returns in a timely and professional manner.

·        Maintain accurate customer and order records.

·        Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email.

·        Support sales and customer service initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

·        Minimum of 2 years of inside sales, customer service, or order processing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

·        Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

·        Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

·        Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage customer requests in a fast-paced environment.

·        Strong attention to detail, including basic math skills for pricing, quantities, and order accuracy.

·        Ability to read product specifications or engineering drawings is a plus.

·        Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively across departments while maintaining confidentiality of customer and pricing information.
