Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Master Home Appliance Service Technician to join our team in West Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and servicing major household appliances. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair major household appliances at customer locations.
• Service washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, cooktops, and other residential appliances.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently, striving for first-visit resolution.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical schematics, and service manuals.
• Use diagnostic tools, including multimeters, to identify electrical and mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and job documentation using mobile applications.
• Provide outstanding customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies while performing repairs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience repairing residential appliances.
• Current or recent full-time experience as a Home Appliance Service Technician.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Washers
• Dryers
• Refrigerators
• Freezers
• Dishwashers
• Ranges & Ovens
• Cooktops
• Other major household appliances
• Proficiency with electrical diagnostics using a multimeter.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using mobile devices or service software for work orders and invoicing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience servicing multiple appliance brands such as Whirlpool, GE Appliances, Frigidaire, LG, Samsung, Bosch, KitchenAid, Maytag, Electrolux, or similar.
• EPA certification (preferred but not required).
• Factory or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
