Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for masonry and facade projects
Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Analyze project requirements including materials, labor, and time
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
Work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers during the bidding process
Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
Maintain accurate estimate records and documentation
Support project teams during project handoff after contract award
Qualifications
Experience in masonry construction or NYC construction projects
Prior experience as an estimator or project manager in construction
Strong knowledge of construction estimating and project management software
Advanced Excel and computer skills
Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Experience with large commercial or residential masonry projects
Familiarity with NYC building codes and construction standards
