Role Description
PeopleSoft Security Lead to support and evolve enterprise application security across a complex PeopleSoft environment. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, configuring, and improving security across PeopleSoft HCM, Financials, and/or Campus Solutions.
This position will play a key role in modernizing the organization’s security model, including transitioning toward a more scalable role-based access control (RBAC) framework, improving segregation of duties (SoD) controls, and supporting audit and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage PeopleSoft security, including roles, permission lists, and row-level security
Design and implement RBAC models aligned to business functions and least-privilege principles
Refactor and consolidate existing security structures to reduce complexity and improve scalability
Partner with functional teams, developers, and stakeholders to align security with business processes
Support security migrations across environments (DEV, TEST, PROD)
Define and execute security testing for system updates, enhancements, and releases
Support audit activities, including documentation, access reviews, and control validation
Identify and resolve SoD conflicts and implement appropriate controls
Assist with monitoring, logging, and security-related initiatives (e.g., alerting, access tracking)
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a small team of security analysts (no direct reports)
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of hands-on PeopleSoft security administration experience
Experience with roles, permission lists, row-level security, and user provisioning
Strong understanding of RBAC, least privilege, and segregation of duties (SoD)
Experience supporting security audits, compliance, or access reviews
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and functional teams
Experience migrating security changes across environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in PeopleSoft HCM, Financials, or Campus Solutions (experience in one or more is acceptable)
Familiarity with security monitoring tools (e.g., Appsian) or SIEM integrations
Experience with SSO, LDAP/Active Directory, or identity management concepts
Background in public sector, higher education, or regulated environments
Experience improving or redesigning legacy security models
