What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Account Executive position at Clerie?
About Clerie
Clerie is an electronic health record (EHR) platform with a HIPAA-compliant AI assistant built for mental health practices. The platform automates scheduling, case notes, custom reporting, and insurance claims, so practices can hand routine work to Clerie’s AI assistant or manage it themselves. Our goal is simple: reduce the administrative load on providers so they can spend more time with patients.
We’re a fast-growing startup, and your work here will show up directly in our numbers. We’re hardworking, supportive, and flexible with each other, and we’re looking for someone who wants to help build something rather than just fill a seat: someone comfortable moving between prospecting calls, closing demos, and occasionally jumping into a marketing or partnership project when the business needs it.
About the Role
This is a full-cycle sales role reporting to our Director of Partnerships, who owns sales and marketing at Clerie. You’ll own new business from first outreach through closed deal, working mental health practices ranging from solo therapists to large group clinics.
What You’ll Do
- Run the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, demoing, and closing new practices
- Close demo requests generated by our paid advertising, and fill open calendar time with outbound cold outreach
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, understanding their day-to-day workflows well enough to position Clerie’s EHR and AI tools against real pain points
- Track your pipeline in GoHighLevel and keep it accurate and current
- Coordinate with our onboarding and customer success process to set new clients up for a strong start
- Meet or exceed your sales targets
What You’ll Bring
- A track record of building and growing a qualified pipeline through lead generation and prospecting
- Account management and customer service instincts that support adoption, retention, and expansion, not just the initial close
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across demos, negotiations, and ongoing client work
- Comfort working in a CRM and using basic data/reporting to manage your own accounts and performance
- A goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup: in person in Provo, UT, and remotely
- B2B SaaS or healthcare technology sales experience is a strong plus
- Experiencing using AI in creative ways to build better processes
Bonus Points
- Prior experience helping scale an early-stage startup
- Experience running or managing paid ads (PPC)
- Experience with podcasts, mailers, or other creative/grassroots marketing tactics
- Familiarity with insurance billing or Medicaid workflows in behavioral health
