Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is seeking a Aftermarket Sales Specialist to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role provides centralized inside sales support across assigned regional offices, serving as an overflow extension of local teams while actively driving aftermarket parts revenue through targeted business development and customer engagement.
This position focuses on expanding parts sales tied to the installed base, improving equipment uptime, and supporting full equipment lifecycle needs. The role serves as a key link between regional offices, customers, and internal operational teams to ensure responsive service and consistent revenue capture.
Essential functions:
- Actively pursue aftermarket business development opportunities with end users in assigned regions; document and manage activity within Salesforce
- Develop and prepare accurate and timely parts quotes to support regional sales teams and direct customer inquiries
- Serve as liaison with AR/AP to support new customer/vendor setup and maintain active account records
- Provide centralized support to regional offices, including but not limited to:
- Overflow support for parts identification, research, and quoting activity
- Processing warranty claims, RMAs, and credit requests in accordance with company procedures
- Preparing parts pricing and proposals for new equipment and aftermarket opportunities
- Act as a professional representative of Cleaver Brooks Sales & Service in all customer and internal interactions
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and internal inquiries, ensuring high levels of service and communication quality
- Maintain clear, professional communication both written and verbal across customers, field offices, and internal stakeholders
- Support revenue continuity and opportunity capture across assigned regions by ensuring timely follow-up and execution on open requests
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of aftermarket sales and service operations
Basic Requirements:
Education:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Experience:
- Two years’ experience in a similar industrial/technical position is preferred. Computer competency including Outlook, Word, Excel, required with IFS background a plus. Basic understanding of HVAC industry terminology a plus.
Physical Skill & Effort:
- Record-keeping (computerized) experience.
- Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level.
- Willingness /ability to work overtime and weekends and emergency hours, as needed. (infrequent)
- Must be reliable and responsible, have own reliable transportation; and must have the ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion up to 50 pounds lifting.
Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal office and warehouse conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions or materials.
