What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP - Quality Assurance & Quality Control position at ClearBridge Executive Search?
Responsibilities
- Direct Quality Control, Analytical Development, and Quality Assurance operations, including personnel management and overall Quality Organization leadership
- Ensure laboratory methods, products, systems, and processes comply with cGMP requirements, government regulations, industry standards, and company policies
- Lead regulatory and third-party audits and manage interactions with FDA inspectors, vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers regarding product and process quality
- Investigate laboratory anomalies, monitor quality trends, maintain accurate test data and records, and periodically evaluate the effectiveness of the Quality Management System with executive leadership
- Collaborate with Production, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and New Product Development while advising Executive Management on quality-related decisions and regulatory requirements
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, compliance, and cost; manage domestic and international contract manufacturing quality and oversee the Quality Organization budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering required; advanced degree preferred, with significant Quality Assurance/Quality Control management experience in nutritional supplement and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements
- Proven ability to lead and manage large teams, including selecting, developing, motivating, and building high-performing employees
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities with demonstrated success working across multifunctional and global teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, negotiation, and team-building skills; international experience preferred
