Buyer Furniture & International Sourcing
This position will be responsible for purchasing materials and products from domestic and international suppliers, negotiating pricing, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely deliveries to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing of materials, components, and finished goods from domestic and international suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules.
- Create and manage purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
- Monitor supplier performance, product quality, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records using ERP/MRP systems.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.
- Resolve supplier, shipment, quality, and invoice discrepancies.
- Support inventory planning and ensure compliance with import/export requirements.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably within manufacturing.
- Experience with international purchasing and supplier management strongly preferred.
- Furniture industry or furniture manufacturing purchasing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of international shipping, freight, customs, and import processes.
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers, orders, and priorities.
- Furniture purchasing and international sourcing.
- Experience working with Asian or European suppliers.
- Manufacturing or furniture-related procurement.
- Ocean freight, customs documentation, and import logistics.
- Inventory planning, cost analysis, and contract negotiations.

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
