Position Summary / Job Scope
If you like to lead teams that are committed to working together to service world class abatement systems, this is the role for you. As an IQ supervisor, you’ll work at customer sites where you are the face of Pfeiffer Vacuum/Clean Tech and the leader of a vibrant and diverse team.
We train our IQ Team Supervisors to manage a technical work team that installs the technology the world relies on to ensure clean air. As a steward of the environment, you will be responsible to ensure Centrotherm Abatement Systems perform to their potential. You’ll work beside global customers to install, maintain and upgrade their Centrotherm equipment, delivering world-class support for multimillion-dollar production systems.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills
This position will be compensated on an hourly (non-exempt) position. You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, technical aptitude, school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience]. - Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge in any of the following: pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
- Knowledge of hand tools and various testing instruments (digital multi-meter, calibration equipment etc.)
- Personal focus on safety for the individual and those around them.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities
- Supervise the Company’s team of field service technicians (FST’s) at target customer sites.
- Assign and coordinate daily IQ work assignments; managing the IQ Team to ensure customer installation criteria are met and installations are completed per customer schedule.
- Maintain strong customer service levels within target accounts.
- Monitor for any safety or quality issues to be addressed and managed.
- May maintain accurate records of system performance, tool-down-situations, quality issues and continuous improvement projects.
- Oversee all IQ activities to ensure that System installations are done per the documented procedures.
- Provide technical support from preparation to completion of installation.
- Frequently check in with active teams to ensure any problems are addressed proactively. Be available or reachable for problem resolution/direction.
- Provide support to Site Manager when needed.
- Perform general technical/ product training for FST’s and customers’ personnel as required.
- Manage and transact Failure Analysis (FA) tasks.
- Install and test any missing factory installed parts.
- Ensure housekeeping of the cage / floor/ toolboxes.
- Perform bi-weekly timecard approvals and manage sick time and vacation time requests.
- Address behavioral situations with involved party, including coaching, preparing PIP and/or written correction plan, while escalating continued performance issues with Site Manager and HR.
- Develop employee skills; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence and confidence.
- Participate in CIP improvement activities to enhance system commissioning and customer acceptance.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience operating and performing repairs and preventative maintenance in a semiconductor manufacturing or other similar industry.
- 6 months of leading teams in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Minimum and Preferred Education/Training/Experience
The candidate must possess at least one of the following educational or experience requirements:
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in STEM or technical program; or
- Military service with 6 months of experience considered in lieu of degree and/or equivalent technical degree; and/or
- Technical certification or trade school diploma.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to:
- Work in an environment with chemicals and gases, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.
- May require the ability to assist a coworker in case of emergency evacuation.
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds. Typically walks 3-5 miles a day with additional time spent standing/sitting.
- Heavy use of keyboard.
