Job Overview

\

This Fleet Maintenance Worker role will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on company owned vehicles and equipment.

\

The successful candidate will have 1 years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.

\

Related mechanical certifications are preferred but not required.

\

Key Responsibilities

\
    \
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
  • \
  • Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
  • \
  • Assure that Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
  • \
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
  • \
  • Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
  • \
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • \
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • \
  • Comply with all facility rules and regulations.
  • \
  • Support a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • \
  • Actively participate in training programs to improve job knowledge and skills.
  • \
  • Report any equipment issues or concerns to management immediately.
  • \
  • Follow established quality control procedures.
  • \
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • \
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • \
  • Document and track all vehicle maintenance activities.
  • \
  • Perform fuel sampling and testing.
  • \
  • Monitor and maintain proper storage of hazardous waste.
  • \
  • Be accountable for maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • \
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to broaden skill set.
  • \
  • Implement and follow company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • \
  • Manage inventory levels of supplies and materials.
  • \
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
  • \
  • Achieve and maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency while meeting production standards.
  • \
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • \
  • Provide excellent customer service through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • \
  • Continuously evaluate and improve current processes and procedures.
  • \
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and trainings.
  • \
  • Responsible for reporting near misses or incidents.
  • \
  • Responsible for reporting hazards or potential hazards.
  • \
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.
  • \
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information.
  • \
  • Support all company policies, including those related to employee conduct, equal employment opportunity and harassment/discrimination.

  • Operate Company vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • \
  • Preventative maintenance tasks include oil changes, tire rotation, brake pad replacements and other tasks necessary to ensure the overall health of the vehicle.

  • Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • \
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and optimize productivity.
  • \
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • \
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are expected.
  • \
  • Meet and maintain qualifications set by regulatory agencies.
  • \
  • Travel to off-site locations may be required.
  • \
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • \
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • \
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
  • \
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • \
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • \
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • \
  • Ability to read and comprehend English.
  • \
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • \
  • Pass a background check and obtain clearance from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), if applicable.

  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • \
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • \
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

  • Operate company provided hand held devices.
