Pumping Technician

Clean Harbors located in La Porte, TX is seeking a Pumping Technician to add to the team. The Pumping Technician for La Porte TX will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This position will wear C level PPE and work with the pumping team to pump drums. Will work in QC for chemicals, operating forklifts, manual labor, and inventory.

Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm. Monday-Friday. Overtime and Saturdays as needed

Pay: $21 DOE

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Load and unload route trucks;
• Wear level C PPE;
• Manual labor of drum washing;
• Pumping drums;
• Working with chemical profiles to identify matches to tankers;
• Uses forklifts routinely to sort pallets and unload;
• Uses camlock and hardlines to connect/disconnect tankers;
• Manage inventory order and receiving process;
• General housekeeping and keeping a clean work area;
• Ensure waste is stored in safe and proper manner;
• Resolve issues with materials in conjunction with office team staff;
• All other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• Experience working in C Level PPE preferred;
• Experience working with chemical profiles preferred;
• Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, etc;
• 2 plus years of related labor and computer experience;
• Ability to drive trucks within facility;
• Forklift skills preferred- or willing to learn.
