This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow within the construction industry while gaining hands-on experience across a variety of residential build and remodeling projects. You'll assist our carpenters and field crew, help maintain organized and safe job sites, and play a vital part in keeping work moving forward efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Support carpenters and the field team with day-to-day tasks
• Load, unload, and move materials and tools
• Clean and maintain job sites and work areas
• Set up and break down ladders, staging, and temporary structures
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear
• Perform basic labor duties, including demolition, debris removal, and site prep
• Travel to job sites within a 30-mile radius of Sugar Grove

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in construction or general labor is preferred
• Experience with skid steer, forklift, ability to pull a trailer, etc.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required due to travel between project sites
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work on active construction sites
• Familiarity with basic hand tools is a plus
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail
• Candidates may be asked to complete a background check after a conditional offer is made, in accordance with Illinois law

• Competitive hourly pay from $15.00 to $22.00 based on experience
