Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for running the line and preparing high volume dine in and take out orders. Your role will involve food handling, meal planning, and ensuring that all meals and food prep are prepared to the highest standards.
Pay- $15/ hour plus tipshare (estimate- $2- $3/ hour)
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Help with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Support catering events as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar role within the food industry
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Proficient knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
