What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook - Hospital Food Service position at CLEAN 2 THE KORE LLC?
Location: A hospital in Nashville, TN
Pay: $16/hour
Schedule: Two shifts open, 40 hours/week, every other weekend:
- 4:30am–1:00pm
- 9:30am–5:30pm
Clean2TheKore is hiring Cooks for the kitchen at a hospital in Nashville. You'll make good food for patients, staff, doctors and guests, and keep the kitchen clean, safe and organized.
What you'll do
- Prep and cook food using standard recipes, so every plate comes out right
- Cook for patient meals, the retail café, the doctors' lounge and catering orders
- Keep your station clean and organized, and follow HACCP and sanitation rules
- Help keep the right stock on hand and follow product and vendor rules
- Follow OSHA, infection control and HIPAA rules
- Greet and talk with patients and guests using AIDET
- Use Computrition (the hospital's food service system)
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of cooking experience preferred
- Food Handler or ServSafe certificate within 90 days of hire (required)
- Knowledge of patient safety and HACCP food safety rules
- Comfortable using computer software to enter and look up information (preferred)
- Able to work every other weekend
Before you start: background check and drug screen required, plus hospital health requirements: TB test from the last 3 months, proof of immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hep B or declination, flu or declination) and a respirator fit test.
