We are a small business in Peachtree City, GA that specializes in the maintenance and overhaul of H-3 and H-60 model helicopters. We are also manufacturing parts as a U.S. Government Contractor, as well as a major helicopter manufacturer. We have immediate needs for Aircraft Structures Technicians for our current and upcoming projects. If you do not have experience performing sheet metal repairs and/or fabricating parts from sheet metal, please do not apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspecting: Examining aircraft structures and components for damage, defects, or corrosion.

Repairing & Replacing: Fixing or replacing damaged parts, including aircraft skin, bulkheads, stringers, ribs, and flight control surfaces, using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like riveting tools.

Fabricating: Manufacturing new structural parts from raw materials (metals, composite, fiberglass) using machines like shears, brakes, presses, milling machines, and lathes, according to engineering drawings and blueprints.

Modifying: Performing structural modifications based on Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) instructions or engineering designs.

Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to all FAA regulations, safety standards, and maintenance manuals, and maintaining detailed records of all work performed.

Necessary Qualifications and Skills:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of an FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician program or a sheet metal mechanic program or equivalent military experience is preferred.

Certification: A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is preferred but not required.

Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in aircraft structural repair is required, with specific experience on rotorcraft being a strong asset.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, forming, and riveting techniques.

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour
