What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer/Machinist position at CLAYTON INTERNATIONAL?
Duties:
Program complex aerospace parts in Esprit CAM software and/or CREO CAD/CAM software
Use micrometers and conventional measuring equipment to verify manufactured items are the required dimensions
Program CNC Machines using “G”-code programming.
Create production set up sheets for use by machinists & operators
Verify programs as required
Plan machining by studying blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Assist in the quoting process by providing accurate estimates of programming time & machining hours
Select cutting tools and machine tools
Design of fixtures and tooling
Verify models against customer provided drawings
Maintain programs in an organized manner with all relevant files properly indexed
Maintain continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Operate machines as required to meet customer deadlines
Work with Senior Machinist, Management, & Quality to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the shop
This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with Mill-Turn Programming and Mazak Integrex preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
