We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Assistant Manager who can take ownership of day-to-day operations, help lead the team, and contribute to marketing and growth. This role is critical to maintaining our customer experience and growing the business.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Store Manager in daily operations and team leadership
- Supervise, train, and hold part-time staff accountable to performance and service standards
- Handle opening/closing duties, cash management, and Square POS
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully operational (machines stocked, tested, and functioning)
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues proactively on the floor
Marketing & Growth
- Create and execute social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Reels, short-form video)
- Support and help run in-store promotions, events, and customer engagement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to increase foot traffic, repeat visits, and customer excitement
Inventory & Operations Management
- Manage inventory across both in-store and off-site storage locations (e.g., CubeSmart units)
- Track, organize, and restock plushies, prizes, and supplies
- Coordinate inventory movement between storage and store to ensure optimal stock levels
- Maintain organization systems to support efficiency, loss prevention, and scaling
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of customer service, retail, or food service experience
- 6 months in a supervisor or shift lead role
- Comfortable with cash handling, POS systems, and store operations
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and peak business hours (including Friday and Saturday nights)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take ownership of responsibilities without constant supervision
Strongly Preferred
- Experience creating content for Instagram/TikTok (Reels, short-form video, etc.)
- Experience running or assisting with promotions, events, or local marketing efforts
- Tech-savvy: comfortable with tablets, Square POS, and light troubleshooting
- Experience in arcades, entertainment, restaurants, or other high-traffic environments
- Interest in anime, toys, video games, or pop culture
Pay & Growth
- $19–20/hour during training (60–90 days)
- $20–22/hour after training based on performance
- Opportunity to take on greater operational and leadership responsibility as we grow
