Contract Duration: 12-Month Base Four (4) 12-Month Options
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, integration, and maintenance of a turnkey Audio/Visual and Video Conferencing (VTC) solution for one of our federal customers. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) and Cisco WebEx environments, ensuring seamless interoperability across seven high-visibility conference and training spaces.
Core Responsibilities & Tasks
- System Design & Engineering: Develop a comprehensive planning and design approach for a turnkey solution covering four standalone conference rooms and three divisible/flexible training rooms.
- Turnkey Integration: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the project—from physical inventory and hardware procurement to the mounting and cabling of all ancillary components.
- Advanced Programming & Calibration: Perform expert-level programming of integrated control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, or Q-SYS) and calibrate audio/video components for peak performance.
- Platform Compatibility: Ensure all hardware is fully optimized for customer-specific instances of Microsoft Teams and WebEx, including firmware management and network security compliance.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Execute rigorous "Gold Start" testing to verify power, network handshake, and signal integrity.
- Lifecycle Documentation: Author and deliver "As-Built" documentation, system schematics, user manuals, and maintenance schedules.
- Post-Install Support: Oversee warranty services, coordinate hardware patches/updates, and conduct formal training sessions for the customer staff.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Experience: 7 years of verifiable experience in large-scale AV/VTC system integration, specifically within Federal or Government environments.
- Platform Expertise: Proven track record configuring Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) and Cisco WebEx hardware codecs.
- Technical Knowledge: * Deep understanding of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) for acoustic echo cancellation.
- Familiarity with federal government-specific security protocols and GSA procurement standards.
- Project Leadership: Ability to act as the primary technical liaison with the customer Site Point of Contact (POC).
Preferred Certifications
- AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D) – Highly Preferred.
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Crestron Silver/Gold Programmer, Q-SYS Level 2, or Cisco Collaboration Specialist).
- OSHA 10/30 Safety Certification.
