JOB SUMMARY
We're seeking a Data Engineer to architect and implement robust data infrastructure that powers our organization's analytics and decision-making capabilities. In this role, you will:
Design and build scalable data pipelines that transform raw information into actionable insights.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to optimize data models and ensure efficient query performance.
Implement data quality controls and monitoring systems to maintain data integrity.
Develop ETL processes that integrate data from multiple sources into our data warehouse.
Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Provide input for data architecture and infrastructure decisions to power business analytics.
- Build and optimize enterprise data pipelines and ELT workflows.
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions while mentoring junior engineers.
- Drive best practices for data quality, testing, and documentation.
- Design and implement data models that support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Architect solutions for data integration across multiple source systems and platforms.
- Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on complex data engineering challenges.
- Work with existing Data Engineering team to deliver new data solutions quickly and on time.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics or similar roles.
- Proven track record leading complex data initiatives.
- Required Skills:
- Working expertise on Databricks, GCP and Spark (must have).
- Ability to architect scalable data solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience optimizing complex data pipelines.
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
- Working experience on AWS, Apache Airflow, Google Big Query (preferred)
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Excellent project management capabilities
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings remotely and in person.
Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time.
Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time.
Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
