Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail sales team, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer engagement
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling procedures
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase store profitability
- Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a strong team
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory control records ensuring compliance with company policies
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, pricing adjustments, and sales management while ensuring efficient cashiering operations
- Implement operational procedures related to purchasing, stock replenishment, and inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce shrinkage
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or a similar customer-focused environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory control, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred; ability to connect with diverse customers and team members
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and operational management
- Ability to lead a team effectively through supervision of shift management, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to pricing, sales tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership qualities with experience in retail store product knowledge, merchandising, stocking, and customer service excellence
