Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate early morning Baker to join our culinary team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods, ensuring quality and consistency while adhering to food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure the quality and consistency of baked goods.
- Measure and mix ingredients using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and baking pans safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Package finished products for display or sale while ensuring proper labeling.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to fulfill catering orders or special requests.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or baking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Proficiency with kitchen tools including knives and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Creativity in developing new recipes or improving existing ones is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required.
