Position Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for the maintenance of the accounting books and records for various individuals, and trusts. The Accountant should be a very detailed, organized, diligent, and able to perform at high levels and have the ability to take on new responsibilities as they may arise. The Accountant should be able to effectively communicate with the Controller, CFO and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Journal entry preparation.
- Monthly bank and broker reconciliations.
- Accounts payable entry
- Broker account data entry
- Administrative work as necessary
Qualifications
Educational, Skill, and Background Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 1-2 years experience
- Computer related proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, general ledger and investment software.
- Ability to work in a small family office environment rather than a large corporate setting.
- Ability to apply analytical and critical thinking to tasks.
Additional Information
$45K to $55K plus Bonus
