We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to support a variety of human resources functions in a fast-paced operational environment. This role will partner closely with leadership and employees to support day-to-day HR activities, employee engagement initiatives, onboarding, recruiting, payroll administration support, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who values consistency, professionalism, confidentiality, and long-term stability.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation programs
- Support recruitment efforts including sourcing, scheduling, interviewing coordination, and candidate communication
- Assist managers and employees with employee relations matters, attendance tracking, policy interpretation, and HR-related questions
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal HR communications
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
- Assist with leave administration processes including FMLA, disability, and related documentation
- Provide payroll support including employee data updates, timekeeping review, payroll processing assistance, and reporting
- Process employee changes including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and terminations
- Help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Partner cross-functionally with leadership to support HR initiatives and organizational needs
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 3 years of progressive HR experience preferred
- Experience supporting payroll processes or HRIS systems strongly preferred
- Prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other operational environments strongly preferred
- Familiarity with ADP or similar HR/payroll systems preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
