Position Title: Special Education Teacher – 6th Grade Resource Room

About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our middle school team and support 6th-grade students in a resource room setting. This full-time position focuses on delivering individualized instruction and accommodations to help students achieve academic and social success.
Position Highlights:
- Manage an average caseload of 17 students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide both push-in and pull-out services in core subject areas, supporting inclusion and targeted intervention.
- Use data-driven strategies to promote student growth and maintain compliance with state and district requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with general education teachers and support staff.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. A genuine commitment to supporting diverse learners and advancing educational equity is essential. Previous experience in a Middle school special education setting is preferred. Applicants must hold a valid teaching license in Special Education, with an LBS1 endorsement.
