Special Education Teacher – 6th Grade Resource Room
Our Organization is looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to support 6th-grade students in a resource room environment. This position blends push-in and pull-out services, offering both classroom collaboration and individualized instruction to meet each student’s needs.
You’ll manage a caseload of about 17 students, focusing on academic growth, social-emotional development, and goal progress aligned with IEPs. Collaboration is key—you’ll partner with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure every learner has the tools to succeed.
Requirements
- Experience working with middle school students is preferred.
- Strong skills in collaboration, organization, and differentiation.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation best practices.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required. A master's degree is a plus.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement required.
