Maintenance Technician

Overview

Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and other mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform equipment repairs including HVAC/R units, refrigeration systems, appliances, and mechanical machinery with precision and efficiency.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex system problems effectively.
• Assist in construction or renovation projects by supporting installation, upgrades, or repairs of building systems.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during maintenance projects to ensure safety protocols and quality standards are met.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs to support ongoing operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance across various systems.
• Construction or building maintenance experience is a plus for supporting installation or renovation projects.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to clearly explain technical issues. Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
