This role will provide day-to-day financial and analytical support within a project-based manufacturing environment. The Operational Finance Analyst will play a key role in project cost tracking, financial reporting, and supporting cross-functional decision-making. Responsibilities:
- Support tracking and validation of project costs including labor, materials, and subcontractors
- Maintain organized financial records including purchase orders, invoices, and cost allocations
- Prepare project profitability reports, cost summaries, and variance analyses
- Assist with estimate-to-actual reconciliations and ongoing budget tracking
- Contribute to monthly close activities and project financial reviews
- Support percent-complete calculations and revenue recognition inputs
- Assist with inventory valuation, reconciliations, and cycle counts
- Reconcile project cost accruals to ensure accurate cost recognition
- Partner with procurement, production, and project teams on cost tracking and delivery timelines
- Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience or relevant internship experience in finance, accounting, or cost analysis
- Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (D365 preferred) is a plus
- Basic understanding of project accounting, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organized, proactive, and dependable with a strong willingness to learn
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data to non-finance partners
