The Accounting (Finance) Intern will support the Finance & Accounting team with day-to-day accounting operations while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, global, project-based manufacturing environment. This role offers exposure to core accounting functions including month-end close, cost accounting, inventory management, and audit support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and follow-ups
- Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and assist with general ledger maintenance
- Support cost accounting and inventory tracking across projects
- Assist with audit preparation, internal controls documentation, and compliance activities
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records across systems
- Collaborate with Finance team members on process improvements and cross-functional initiatives
- Ensure all work is completed in alignment with internal controls and company policies
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in manufacturing, cost structures, and inventory accounting is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong ownership and accountability
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Professionalism and discretion when handling financial information
