CK Power is looking for an Power Generation Test Technician at our St. Louis, MO location. This position performs a variety of duties related to testing of diesel engines, power units and generators, and related accessories and product. You’ll conduct pre-test inspection, work with production teams, and document non-conformances in preparation of testing; conduct quality tests as specified by quality functions, engineering or the customer; troubleshoot and diagnose problems, ensuring the units are ready to ship or identifying and marking the units accordingly; and other miscellaneous inspection and testing as required.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate specialized test equipment to test and analyze the performance of engines accessory units.
- Troubleshoot and adjust components on engines and accessories during testing process.
- Generator and engine test performance.
- Calculate and evaluate engine testing.
- Complete QC documentation and testing.
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum 5 years of diesel mechanical experience.
- Good planning, organizational, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the functional operation of the products tested.
- Ability to follow and understand related company instructions and company processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work weekday shift or weekend shift as required.
What Helps:
- Experience with generator testing, electrical testing, or engine/generator rebuild work.
- Trade or technical school diploma or certificate in relevant field preferred.
