CK Power Family of Companies is looking for a Talent Support/Onboarding Specialist at our St. Louis, MO, location. The Talent Support/Onboarding Specialist serves as the point of contact for new hires, coordinating their pre-employment screenings and onboarding. This position is responsible for regular and proactive communication with new hires and hiring managers. You'll support Human Resources and Recruiting in their efforts to bring aboard new employees.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the pre-employment and onboarding process for all new hires after new hire job acceptance, including administering background checks and coordinating drug screenings, as well as physicals and other screenings as needed.
- Confirm new hire start dates and work with other teams (IT, hiring manager, safety team, etc.) to ensure new hires have all required technology, equipment, and training set up before their first day of work.
- Proactively handle all candidate and hiring manager communication post-offer acceptance. Be personable, welcoming, and a great example of the culture of CK Power Family of Companies.
- Conduct weekly and ad hoc onboarding/orientation sessions for onsite and remote new hires. To include completion of benefits, I-9, and tax paperwork, as well as safety training and all other needed paperwork in conjunction with other team members.
- Set up new employee profiles and paperwork in HRIS and other systems. Complete all new hire paperwork in conjunction with HR and recruiting team.
- Create internal promotion letters and other employee communications.
- Assist Human Resources and Recruiting with other tasks as needed, including assisting hiring managers with job descriptions.
What You’ll Need:
- Desire to start your career in Human Resources or Recruiting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- College degree or 1-3 years of administrative or Human Resources experience preferred.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Helpful, friendly, and outgoing attitude.
- Professionalism and a high degree of confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills.
