About the Role
Fabick Cat is seeking an experienced Power Generation Technician to support a major data center project beginning in 2027 in the New Florence, MO area. This position will focus on the installation, commissioning, load-bank testing and ongoing maintenance of extra-large generator sets in a mission-critical environment.
What You'll Do
* Commission and maintain 3 MW diesel generator sets and related power generation systestems.
* Perform and document load-bank testing and equipment performance testing.
* Complete preventive maintenance, inspections and corrective repairs.
* Diagnose issues using electrical schematics, service manuals and electronic diagnostic tools.
* Document service activities, test results and equipment conditions.
* Work closely with Fabick Cat, Caterpillar and customer teams to ensure reliable equipment operation.
* Follow all site-specific safety requirements and maintain a clean, professional work environment.
What We're Looking For
* Experience servicing diesel engines.
* Experience with large-frame generator sets strongly preferred.
* Experience with commissioning, startup, load-bank testing or data center power systems is a plus.
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
* Experience with electronic diagnostic tools; Cat ET experience preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
* Ability to work overtime, weekends and varying shifts as required by the project.
