Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract terms, safety standards, and project schedules
- Act as the on-site leader, providing direction to field teams and maintaining a professional and collaborative environment
- Oversee productivity, resource utilization, and overall project performance
- Partner with Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules, staffing plans, and resource requirements
- Lead daily huddles, weekly safety meetings, and progress meetings
- Enforce all safety policies, proactively identify risks, and address unsafe conditions immediately
- Investigate incidents and complete required documentation and reporting
- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, and subcontractor agreements to ensure alignment and execution
- Monitor project progress, quality, and cost to meet client expectations
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, logs, inspections, and as-built drawings
- Manage labor relations and resolve field-level conflicts or jurisdictional issues
- Coordinate site logistics including layout, materials, equipment, and site setup
- Support project closeout activities and ensure successful handover to the client
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience as a Superintendent on industrial or heavy construction projects
- Proven experience leading large, multi-union crews
- Strong knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural scopes
- Proficiency in construction management tools such as Primavera, Prolog, or Viewpoint
- Thorough understanding of OSHA and safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and planning abilities
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent safety training)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Accident Investigation training preferred
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
