Seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Director of Nursing (DON) for the Skilled Nursing Facility. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily nursing operations within the skilled nursing facility.
- Ensure residents receive compassionate, individualized, and high-quality care.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal long-term care regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary departments to support resident outcomes and organizational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff to foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence.
- Conduct audits, monitor quality indicators, and implement process improvements to enhance clinical performance and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain effective systems and procedures that support operational efficiency and exceptional resident care.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and long-term care operations.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Director of Nursing role or other nursing leadership position.
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and staff development skills.
- Strong analytical, auditing, and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
