What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Stability Case Manager position at CITY RESCUE MISSION INC?
Housing Stability Case Manager – Family Programs
City Rescue Mission | Oklahoma City
The weeks and months after a family moves into housing can determine whether that home becomes a fresh start or another setback. City Rescue Mission is looking for a Housing Stability Case Manager who is passionate about walking alongside families during this critical transition — helping them stay housed, regain stability, and build a stronger future.
This role focuses on post–move-in support, housing retention, and eviction prevention for families who have already secured housing. Through relationship-driven, family-centered case management, you’ll help families navigate real-life challenges, strengthen stability, and protect the progress they’ve worked so hard to achieve.
What You’ll Do
- Support families after they move into housing, helping them remain safely and stably housed
- Provide individualized, housing-focused case management centered on stability, budgeting, income, and problem-solving
- Identify and address post–move-in challenges early to prevent eviction or housing disruption
- Build collaborative relationships with landlords and property managers to support housing retention
- Conduct regular home visits and family meetings to monitor progress, safety, and well-being
- Connect families to community resources, employment support, benefits, and family services
- Partner closely with City Rescue Mission’s family and children’s programs to support whole-family success
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in HMIS and agency systems
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and case conferences
Qualifications:
Who You Are
- You believe stable housing is the foundation for family success
- You’re calm, compassionate, and solutions-focused — especially during moments of crisis
- You’re comfortable building relationships with families, landlords, and community partners
- You’re organized, dependable, and able to manage a caseload independently
- You bring a trauma-informed, family-centered approach to your work
What We’re Looking For
- No college degree required — relevant experience and heart for the work matter most
- At least two (2) years of experience supporting families through case management, housing stabilization, homelessness prevention, or similar services
- Experience working with families after housing placement or during housing transitions
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with community resources in the Oklahoma City area
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
